Diocese on The Lake Holds Synod Tagged ''Ejemekwuru 2025'’

All is now set for the 3rd Session of the 6th Synod of the Diocese On The Lake tagged “Ejemekwuru 2025”.

A release from the desk of the Diocesan Communicator, Venerable Innocent Osuoha says the four day activity packed programme commences on Thursday, 24th–27th April, 2025 at St Mark’s Anglican Church, Ejemekwuru in Oguta LGA.

As courteously as it is, the Bishop,  His Lordship, Rt. Rev. Chijioke Benjamin Ndidiamaka Oti, PhD, is expected to pay a courtesy call on the traditional ruler of Ejemekwuru Ancient Kingdom, HRH Eze Hippo Duru (Ekwuruoma the 3rd) at around 11am on Thursday.

This visit will be succeeded by the Synod opening formalities which include a Holy Communion service amongst other activities.

The 2025 Synod will climax on 26th, Saturday, as the Bishop, His Lordship the Rt. Rev. Chijioke Benjamin Ndidiamaka Oti. PhD. delivers his Presidential Address.

On 27th April, 2025, the Synod thanksgiving service holds alongside other activities slated for the closing ceremony. In a chat with the host Vicar, Venerable Sidney Onyekachi Arizie, he reassured their readiness to host.

According to him, “I feel we have done our best as human beings”.

Collaborating what the Vicar-in-charge said, the Deputy Chancellor of the Diocese and an indigene of the host church, Sir Barr Kayode Ojinnaka, “We are 90% ready because it is only God who is 100% ready always. We have put in a lot and have provisions for unforeseen developments. In short, individually and collectively as an Archdeaconry we are ready.’’
