The Right Reverend Alkali Titus of Wusasa Diocese, the historic citadel of Christianity in Hausaland has said that Easter is the cornerstone of Christianity.

Bishop Alkali insisted that there are four events that represent the cornerstone of Christianity.

The first is the Virgin Birth of Jesus celebrated at Christmas,

The second is the Resurrection of Jesus being celebrated every Easter,

The third is the Rapture of Jesus which is imminent – it could happen before you are through reading this message,

The fourth is the Second coming which ushers the millennial reign of Christ.

We celebrate the Resurrection of Jesus which guarantees eternal life for all believers, Christianity rises or falls on the Resurrection of Jesus Christ.

If Jesus didn’t rise from the dead, then our hope and faith is a collosal loss;

If Jesus didn’t rise from the dead, then our songs and powerful sermons are disillusional;

If Jesus didn’t rise from the dead, then our beautiful Cathedrals of worship are nothing but monumental corpses.

As clearly stated in scripture, The exhibition of God’s salvation is in Jesus Christ.. By His death all races,all tribes, all men are offered the chance to be saved from sin.. John 3:16

Christ died on the Cross for this very purpose: to open an  *”access road”* to the Father. God’s eternal purpose is to create one new man- the Church out of the two and this was done at the Cross.. Eph 2:13-19.

The Cross itself is the eternal zero point,where all sins and guilts are dissolved and neutralized in the eternal blood.

The message of the Cross is indeed a message to savour..

With our knowledge of Him crucified, we have an aroma that the people can’t withstand. It diffuses everywhere and draws them closer.

To this Cross all Old testament Truth, converge and from it, all New testament Truth emerge.

Beloved, Calvary’s Hill is far higher than any of the enemy’s mountains.. You are already at an advantage, once you step on Calvary.

May this Truth resonate powerfully in our hearts not only at this Easter but all through our lives.

With love from Wusasa, the Historic citadel of Christianity in Hausaland.
