Frontline Guber Aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC, for the November 8 Guber Election in Anambra State, Sir Paul Chukwuma, has resigned his membership of the party. His resignation came on the eve of the primary elections of the party scheduled for April 5.
‎In a resignation letter addressed to the ward chairman of Umueri Ward 2, in Anambra East LGA, Chukwuma cited what he termed a flawed process in the build up to the party’s primaries.
‎Chukwuma who had been in the forefront of building the party in Anambra however did not say if he was going to contest in another party amid such speculations.‎He said he just needed to rest after twenty years of politicking, even as he stated his commitment to helping to actualize the renewed hope agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and to connect Anambra to the centre.
‎Chukwuma’s next move is expected to be made known in the days ahead.
‎His resignation comes as another aspirant of the party, Hon Chukwuma Umeorji, announced his pulling out from the Guber primaries over irregularities.
‎These latest developments, political watchers believe, may truncate the party’s chances in the November 8 Guber Election in the state, especially the resignation of Chukwuma who commands a large followership
