‘First of all, we give all glory and thanks to Almighty God for His grace and mercy that have brought us together today for this wonderful event.

‘Our special appreciation goes to our Papa Nnukwu, Most Reverend Dr. Paulinus C. Ezeokafor, the Catholic Bishop of Awka Diocese; our Chairman, as well as all our special guests, for honoring us with your highly valued presence today.

‘It is with great joy and deep gratitude to Almighty God that I stand before you today on this special occasion of our Exhibition Day. On behalf of the entire student body of this great institution, St. John Innovation Institute of Management and Technology (JIIMATECH), Neni, I sincerely and warmly welcome everyone present here today.

‘Today is a momentous opportunity for our outgoing students to showcase their diverse talents, creativity, skills, and academic achievements. However, this day is also an invaluable opportunity for us to identify areas where our beloved institution can improve, so we can continue to provide a better learning and living environment for all students.

‘To this end, I would like to respectfully present two crucial areas that deserve urgent attention.

‘THE INSTALLATION OF SOLAR PANELS IN THE STUDENTS’ HOSTELS

Electricity is an essential amenity in the daily lives of students. To excel academically, students need adequate and reliable electricity to study at night, complete assignments, and participate in other essential academic and extracurricular activities.

‘Installing solar panels in our hostels will provide a consistent, more reliable source of electricity. It will greatly reduce our dependence on the often unpredictable public power supply and potentially lower the institution’s overall electricity costs over time.

‘Furthermore, solar energy is environmentally friendly. Investing in renewable energy will contribute to a more comfortable, modern, and conducive living and learning environment. I therefore respectfully appeal to our generous guests to kindly consider us in this urgent need of ours for the installation of solar panels in our hostels for the immense benefit of the students and the whole school.

‘THE RENOVATION OF THE STUDENTS’ HOSTELS

‘A hostel is far more than just a place to sleep; for us students, it is our home away from home. Therefore, it is only right that it remains clean, safe, comfortable, and suitable for both learning and relaxation.

‘Renovating the hostels will significantly improve the living conditions of our rooms, repair heavily damaged facilities, upgrade sanitation, and create a healthier environment overall. I respectfully encourage and appeal to the Management and our supporters to consider:

Repairing damaged doors and windows to guarantee safety,

Improving and upgrading the bathrooms and toilets, addressing and fixing leaking roofs, and repainting the rooms and common areas where necessary.

‘These vital improvements will greatly promote our comfort, safety, hygiene, and general well-being, allowing us to focus more on our academic pursuits.

‘APPRECIATION AND ENCOURAGEMENT

‘Distinguished guests, members of management, respected lecturers, and fellow students, I would like to take this moment to thank the school management, our dedicated lecturers, and all our invited guests for giving me this platform to speak.

‘To our outgoing students, we are incredibly proud of you. You have worked tirelessly, learned a great deal, and grown immensely during your time in this institution. As you move on to the next exciting chapter of your lives, we encourage you to make excellent use of the knowledge and skills you have gained here.

‘We wish you outstanding success, happiness, and even greater achievements in the future. Wherever you go, always remember that you are ambassadors of St. John Innovation Institute of Management and Technology, and continue to make us proud.

‘To our distinguished guests, we sincerely appreciate your presence and support today. We warmly invite you to take your time to tour the exhibition ground, view our students’ displays, appreciate their efforts, and offer them your support, invaluable advice and feedback that will help them improve,’ she concluded.
