Diocese Of Awka Anglican Communion was in jubilation mood when news filtered in that the Bishop of Awka, Church of Nigeria,Anglican Communion, Archbishop Alexander Chibuzo Ibezim PhD was celebrating his birthday.
Archbishop Ibezim who is also the Archbishop Province of the Niger, wanted a very solemn outing to praise God and appreciate Him for His mercies, but the news alone became a buzz.
Archbishops, Bishops, Governors and Deputy Governors, as well as captains of industries, knights and ladies across the globe called to wish him well.
According to his chaplain, Reverend Canon Edwin Enemuor worshipped with close family and friends at Chapel of Divine Favour, Anglican Village, Ifite Awka last Wednesday, 5th August,2026.
On his birthday wishes to Archbishop Ibezim, Governor of Anambra State, Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, CFR, lauded Archbishop Ibezim as a profound spiritual leader, an erudite scholar, and a tireless advocate for peace, unity, and development within Anambra State and beyond.
The Governor highlighted Archbishop Ibezim’s ceaseless dedication to moral rectitude and his significant contributions to the spiritual growth and welfare of the Anglican faithful and the entire citizenry.
“Archbishop Ibezim’s life has been a continuous testimony to selfless service and exemplary leadership,” Governor Soludo stated.
“His dedication to fostering harmonious coexistence, promoting education, and championing humanitarian causes has been remarkably impactful on our society. We are immensely proud of his achievements and grateful for his continuous prayers and support for the government and people of Anambra State.”
