The Young Progressives Party (YPP) in Anambra State has taken a significant step towards strengthening its mandate by holding a one-day sensitization workshop. The event, which took place on February 28, at the Hollywood Event Centre in Awka, brought together party stakeholders, including state and national executives, zonal and local government leaders and ward chairmen.
The workshop was aimed at brainstorming and strategizing on building a better future for Anambra State. In his address of welcome, the Anambra State Chairman of YPP, Hon Prince Moses Obi, emphasized the importance of unity and collaboration among party members to achieve success in forthcoming elections.
The National Chairman, Comrade Bishop Emmauel Amakiri, represented by Hon. Barr Videyeno Bamaiyi, encouraged party members to work together to produce the next Governor of Anambra State.
The workshop featured a lecture presentation by Dr Chukwuemeka Uzodimma, who spoke on the topic: ”Strengthening Wards of Local Government: A key to Build a Resident Political Party”.
The State party leader, High Chief Chinedu Umeadi, expressed concern over the lack of unity among party faithful and called for greater commitment and unity.
He said the YPP had set its sights on winning the Senate and Governorship positions in the upcoming elections. To achieve this, he said, the party must focus on building a strong, united front.
According to him, this could be accomplished by fostering collaboration, encouraging open communication and collaboration among party members to build trust and unity, empowering party members, providing training and resources to help party members, developing the skills and knowledge needed to succeed.
His words, ‘The YPP Anambra State Chapter has demonstrated its commitment to strengthening its mandate by holding a successful sensitization workshop. By building on the momentum generated from this event, the party can achieve its goal of winning the Senate and Governorship positions in the upcoming elections,’ Umeadi said.
