Youths Earnestly Seek Soludo (YESS) led by its Convener, Dr. Nelson Obinna Omenugha, with other YESS Think Tank members, attended the inaugural meeting of all YESS Coordinators and their 10-man excos in Anambra North Senatorial Zone, Anambra State.
The Zonal Coordinator, Hon. Dr. Anselm Ọnụọrah, heartily welcomed the YESS Convener, Dr. Omenugha and his YESS Think Tank members to Omambala, noting how important the meeting was to them, equally assuring that he and all the YESS LG Coordinators under him were ready to work for the success of YESS in their Zone.
The YESS Convener, Dr. Nelson Omenugha, thanked all the Coordinators and their excos for their zeal towards the project and promised to carry everybody along in all the dealings by YESS.
In responding to one of the questions from Hon. Ben Chikezie from Onitsha North, the Convener informed the general house of the need for all YESS members to have something doing so that members could be called upon when something that related to their skills/jobs came up.
He gave many instances where he had patronized many YESS members directly and indirectly.
He went on to tell all present that if eventually they succeeded in this game, it was totally impossible to give appointments to all those that worked for Prof Chukwuma Soludo. He however noted that he was sure that with their principal’s governorship, all YESS skilled and committed members must blossom in their areas of specialization.
The YESS General Secretary, Hon. Chukwuka Nwankwo, after the brief remarks from the Zonal Coordinator, on behalf of the YESS Convener, and YESS Think Tank members, also welcomed all the YESS Coordinators and their excos to the meeting and thanked them for honouring the August meeting.
The General Secretary said the meeting was convened to help them know how YESS had fared in their localities; what YESS needed to do in their localities; the need to form polling unit coordinators in all their wards; the need to include women in YESS structures; the need to involve stakeholders in their localities in YESS activities; the benefits of being a YESS member, and many more.
This was followed by contributions from members present.
