Woman of Faith Laid to Rest At Agulu

By Mercy Hill

The remains of late Mrs Pauline Anusi, aged 73, was laid to mother earth last Friday, 6 March 2020 at her country home in Okpu Village, Agulu, Anaocha L.G.A, Anambra State.

The funeral Mass marking the glorious exit was officiated by the Director of Fides Media Limited, Rev. Fr. Dr. Martin Anusi alongside other concelebrants.

In his homily during the Holy Mass, Rev. Fr. Anthony Akunwanne described the deceased as a committed Christian who fought a good fight of faith and trusted in God.

Likening the life of Mama to that of the Biblical Dorcas, he described her as an inspirational, accomplished and fulfilled woman, who lived and died as a follower of Christ as exemplified in her lifestyle even on the sick bed.

Fr. Akunwanne encouraged Christians to strive to be remembered by their good works and their steadfastness to the things of God. He advised Christians to stop being miracle mongers and hold on to their faith in God.

In his vote of thanks, the first son of the deceased, Mr. Obiora Anusi, thanked all for coming to identify with them in their period of mourning.
