… Commissions Water Facility for Optimal Service Delivery at CAPAD Filling Station, Abagana
The Catholic Bishop of Awka Diocese, Most Rev Dr Paulinus Ezeokafor, has commissioned a water borehole at CAPAD Filling Station, Abagana in Njikoka Local Government Area, Anambra State.
Commissioning the water facility built to enable the filling station to serve its teaming customers optimally, the Catholic Bishop said the Church was in the oil business purely to serve humanity.
The Bishop assured the customers of the station that as a Church, the issues of tampering with meters and selling with an intent to cheat them would not be tolerated.

The Prelate however pointed out that the fuel pump price would be out of the control of the Church, as the station would be selling the petroleum products based on prevailing market prices.
He thanked the Management and the staff of the station, for their service, urging them to continue to maintain standards and best practices based on the objectives upon which the station was established.
Speaking with Fides, the Manager of the Station, Rev Fr Jeremiah Ikezue, popularly called ‘Onyeamuma’, by his admirers, expressed gratitude to the Chief Shepherd of Awka Diocese for reposing trust in the Management and staff of the station, pledging total commitment to ensure that the goal of the establishment was achieved optimally.
‘When the company was commissioned in 2016, certain things, such as a borehole and plaque, were not there.
‘So the Management of CAPAD deemed it fit to invite our Bishop to come and bless the new work we have done and give us his paternal admonition on the way we should run the filling station,’ he said.
‘We are really grateful to him; he has blessed the borehole, the entire company, and used the opportunity to unveil plaques and other innovations we have put in place,’ Fr Ikezue continued.
The Manager, who corroborated the Prelate that the station was not for profit-making, but for service to humanity and soul winning, promised customers total adherence to internationally accepted best practices.
A number of Priests of the Diocese who included, the Chancellor of Awka Diocese, Rev Fr Charles Ndubuisi, accompanied Bishop Ezeokafor to the event which took place on Friday, 13th December, 2024.
