Welcome to Year of Hope and Rebirth – Chukwuma Tells Anambrarians

By Jude Atupulazi

The New Year, 2025, has been described as that of hope and rebirth in which Anambra will recover her lost glory. Sir Paul Chukwuma, All Progressives Congress, APC, leading aspirant for the 2025 gubernatorial election in Anambra State, has stated in his New Year message to the people of the state.

Delivering the Message with the theme, “Hope Rising in Anambra State”, on the eve of the New Year, Sir Chukwuma declared that Anambra would recover her lost glory and retake her position as one of the most peaceful, prosperous and prestigious states in Nigeria.

His words, “2025 is the year of new beginning for Anambra State. It is the year our dear state will rise again to repossess the fullness of its glory and respect among Nigerian states. Anambra shall shrug away its present nightmare of clueless leadership and cast aside the dark clouds of insecurity. Yes, Anambra shall rise again this year.’

Sir Chukwuma, a former seminarian of the Catholic Church, regretted that the state had fallen into the wrong hands in the past three years and had consequently been pegged back in critical development indices.

‘I’m appalled at how low we have sunk under the leadership of the current administration. The level of insensitivity and ice-cold meanness of the current APGA Administration is legendary. Never have Ndi Anambra seen this type of inflexible and pitiless spirit in previous governments; the type that is totally unmoved by the tears of the people they exist to serve,’ Sir Chukwuma said.

He however declared that 2025 offered Ndi Anambra the chance to change what he described as their unacceptable narrative by choosing a new administration that would wipe away the tears of anguish caused by the APGA administration.

In a press statement signed by James Eze, spokesman, Sir Paul Chukwuma Campaign Council, Chukwuma said, ‘This is an election year in Anambra State. We are at the threshold of change. I trust Ndi Anambra to make an objective decision about their own happiness, their own greatness and their own lives. This is Anambra’s year of glory and it shall be well with Anambra State,’ he assured.

Sir Chukwuma also observed that Anambra deserved better, arguing that no state with Anambra’s enormous human and material resources should undergo the vicious cycle of violence and regression as Anambra had experienced in the hands of the current APGA government.

‘Ndi Anambra, it’s a new day in our beloved state. Let’s make a difference. Let’s change our story. This is our year. Happy New Year, Ndi Anambra,’ the foremost educationist and philanthropist stated.

It will be recalled that Anambra had been a theatre of violent deaths and kidnappings for months now, with the criminals operating virtually unchallenged.
