St. Paul’s Ugwuoba Celebrates Feast Day, Government approval

. . . Sends off Fr. Afoenyem, welcomes Adrian & Gloria Krammer Benefactors

On 23rd June 2019, St. Paul’s Ugwuoba celebrated her Feast Day, government approval of Adrian & Gloria Krammer School, send off of Fr Peter Afoenyem and held a warm reception in honour of the benefactors of Adrian & Gloria Krammer School.

Delivering his homily at the Mass, Msgr. Jerome Madueke thanked God for the lives of the priests. He thanked God for Grace and Love upon the parishioners and pupils. He told parishioners to always be ready to receive the body and blood of Christ and warned against its abuse. Using the life of St. Theresa of Avila, he said that the love of Christ should control and dwell within us at all times.

At the reception, the Chairman of the occasion, Dr. Charles Nweke, welcomed all to the event. He praised the efforts of the priests and teachers in managing and inculcating moral discipline in the students.

In the school’s speech read by the headmistress of the school, Mrs. Monica Umeh, thanked Gloria Kramer, fondly called Dodo, for her efforts and support in teaching and educating the pupils on environmental cleanliness and moral instructions through her life style. The address thanked her for celebrating with the parish in their Feast Day celebration three consecutive times. She thanked God for the letter of approval by the Enugu State Government of Adrian & Gloria Kramer Model School, Ugwuoba which was received on June 18, 2019 the day Dodo arrived the school.

In a special way, the speech thanked Fr. Afoenyem for the time and efforts he laboured during his one year as the school Manager. The address thanked Chief Clement Onu, a parishioner who helped in fast tracking the school approval at the Ministry. The address thanked Ave Maria Okonkwo, nee Nwandison for her financial assistance to the school which enabled them in getting a school bus

In his vote of thanks, the parish priest, Rev. Fr. Lawrence Nwankwo, thanked all who was present at the event. He thanked all the donors, teachers, friends, well wishers and donors of the parish. Similarly, Fr. Felix Efobi, thanked all who have laboured for the growth of the school and the parish and prayed the Lord blesses and flourishes them.

Tit bits of the event includes cultural dance and display, song presentation, drama and presentation of gifts.
