An Anglican Priest, Reverend Godwin Okonkwo has revealed that there would be surprises on the last day of judgment in heaven as many weekly church goers without repentance shall populate hell fire.
Speaking on the theme:”Loving God above all else”, at the Church of The Holy Spirit Awka, Reverend Godwin Okonkwo informed that many who shout Lord only in their lips may not make heaven.
He insisted that anyone targeting to inherit the kingdom of God shall be free of the fruits of the evil spirit like jealousy, anger, selfishness to mention but a few.
He asked Christians to be filled always with the fruits of the Holy Spirit like love, even as he asked Christians to be prepared for Heaven now, as there is no time like sudden.
He appealed to them to ensure their hearts are close to God since the heavenly race isn’t about how many times you have gone to church, but your commitment ajd dedication to the ways of the Lord.
Reverend Godwin Okonkwo further informed that listening to the word of God without doing it is self deceit, even as he encouraged Christians to flee all temptations and keep away from bitterness, unforgiving spirit among other vices as these are express tickets to hellfire.
He advocated for forgiving spirit as tonic and fragrance the heart needs to adjust for a better life ready to showcase true Christianity and humans. He warned against hearts that forget calvary.
Earlier, the Vicar Church of The Holy Spirit Awka, Ven.Dr Onyeka Egwuonwu asked God to remove disobedience from the hearts of Christians by making them embrace love, peace and holiness. He urged Christians to love God above all things.
Later, at the Basilica of the Divine Grace, Joy family of the Church of The Holy Spirit Awka, had its mini harvest thanksgiving in a grand style.
