Governor Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State has congratulated the winners of the State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, elections of January 24, including the Chairman, Dr Emeka Odogwu, whose victory the governor described as a testament of his leadership and dedication.
Soludo speaking through the Commissioner for Information, Dr Law Mefor, stated, ‘On behalf of the Anambra State Government, I warmly congratulate Dr. Odogwu Emeka Odogwu and his team on their well-deserved victory in the recent NUJ Anambra Council elections. Your re-election is a testament to your leadership and dedication to the union.
‘As you begin your new term, I urge you to extend a hand of fellowship to all members, healing any wounds that may have arisen during the electioneering process. Unity and cohesion are essential for the council’s growth and prosperity.
‘The Anambra State Government looks forward to continued collaboration and fair reporting of our activities. We are committed to maintaining a cordial relationship with the NUJ and promoting a free and independent press.
‘Once again, congratulations to Dr. Odogwu and his team. We wish you a successful tenure and look forward to working with you.’
