The Convener of Ochendo Vanguards and Grand Patron of Ide Movement, High Chief Inno-Posh Chikezie, has called on Anambra citizens to re-elect Gov Soludo again, come November 8, 2025, citing what he calls the Governor’s demystification of governance through creative and innovative approach in making Anambra a livable homeland.
He stated this at a parley with a group of artisans in his country home, Ichida, Anaocha LGA, who came to thank him for supporting their businesses. He enumerated what he called the giant strides of the Governors to include:
Security: degrading insecurity to the barest minimum, liberating eight local government areas from criminal control, and employing 2,000 able-bodied men into the Anambra State Vigilante Group and the recent signing of Anambra State Homeland Security Law, 2025, which established the Agunechemba security outfit (Operation Udo Ga Achi).
Infrastructural Development: awarding of 250km of roads in his first year in office, with streetlights powered by solar energy, and planning a sustainable railway system, as well as award of 760.121 kilometers of road within 32 months in office.
He noted that 316 kilometers of road have already been completed and asphalted.
He gave some notable projects being done by Soludo as the Amawbia-Agulu-Nanka-Ekwulobia-Uga Road: a 34-Kilometre dualization project connecting Anambra and Imo states, expected to reduce travel time by over 70%; Okpoko roads involving nine roads inaugurated, including the Mmiata Anam- Nzam Road.
‘These infrastructure development projects, among numerous others, demonstrate Governor Soludo’s commitment to transforming Anambra State’s road network, enhancing connectivity, and promoting economic growth, the High Chief stated.
On education, he cited the Governor’s recruitment of over 8,000 teachers to improve the quality of education in public primary and secondary schools in the state; offering of scholarship to Basic and Secondary school students; the recent flagship of Smart Schools to bolster what he called Global Education Norm in Anambra State.
On healthcare, he pointed at the recruitment of over 200 medical personnel to address the shortage of healthcare professionals in the state, remodelling of health care and offering free maternal health care and child delivery.
Chief Chikezie said that on youth empowerment, the government had trained and empowered 5,000 Anambra youths (first batch) in a special one-youth-two skills programme, and currently training about 8,000 youths (2nd batch) with plans to empower them with billions of Naira to start their own businesses. He said this had brought respite to thousands of youths, who, he said, had found a lifeline in economic emancipation.
‘The Governors sincerity of purpose in not taking the loan offered to states on a platter of gold, because he had no need for it and will never mortgage the future of the state taking such loan, is highly commendable,’ he stated.
Chief Chikezie, a humanitarian of repute, encouraged all to continue supporting the Soludo Administration, noting that it had brought massive dividends of prosperity to the state.
He wished Anaocha People, the Government of Anambra State, and Anambra People a Happy Easter Celebration and called on all to reflect on the Death and Resurrection of Jesus Christ by showing love to others.
