Members of Anambra Mandate for Good Governance (AMFGG), have joined well-meaning Nigerians to felicitate with Gov Willie Obiano as he marked his six years in office as the Governor of Anambra State.
In a statement signed by the national leader of AMFGG and member representing Anambra East & West Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Chief Chinedu Obidigwe, the national chairman of AMFGG and the Group Managing Director of Oliswarren Group, Chief Olisa Aniunoh, the deputy national chairman of AMFGG and the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, Hon. Chief Achike Nnamdi and made available to newsmen in Awka, the group known for its promotion and sustenance of good governance in Anambra State, said Governor Willie Obiano in the past six years had maintained and stabilized governance in Anambra State.
AMFGG members appreciated Governor Obiano for all he had done in all sectors of Anambra’s economy, especially in the areas of security, agriculture, infrastructural development, prompt payment of salaries, gratuity and pensions, and human capital development.
The statement read in part, ‘We felicitate with you, not because you’re the incumbent governor of Anambra State, but because of what you have been able put in place in Anambra.
‘We congratulate you, not because you are the leader and Chairman, Board of Trustees (BoT) of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), but because of what you represent: good governance.
‘We owe it a duty to promote good governance in Anambra State and also to speak about the good works of the government. So far you are on the right track. You have achieved a lot with little. While other states were finding it difficult to survive, you were seen engaging and paying more workers. We cannot thank you enough. All we are saying is for you to maintain the tempo.
‘We are happy for your giant strides. We have seen a lot of monumental achievements put in place by your administration. Today, Anambra is the leading state in Nigeria, the most secure and fastest rising state in the federation.
‘The cordial relationship you have established with the Centre has really yielded so many fruits and dividends; serious work ongoing on the Second Niger Bridge. The Onitsha/Enugu Expressway is also under construction.
‘We will continue to promote and sustain good governance here in Anambra State. We pray that your remaining two years in office will be eventful and rewarding,’ the statement read.
The group prayed God to continue to protect and sustain the governor whom they described as a go-getter, humane, generous, considerate, kindhearted and passionate leader.
