The sponsor of the Anambra FA cup since 2007 Neros Pharmaceuticals, Chief Poly Emenike (Odenigbo Nanka), at the 2019 FA Cup final April 28,2019, honoured the AIFL Chairman, Rev Fr Obinna Dike with an award for conceiving AIFL and using it to massively develop sports in both Anambra and Nigeria as a whole.
The other two awardees were Super Sports, and Late ace commentator, “Wordsmith” Ernest Okonkwo. Rev Fr Obinna Dike invited other AIFL officials, Fr Damian Ogwatta (vice), Godsent Eriobu (sec), Egbudike Kazu etc to join in receiving the award. Fr Obinna announced that it was a joint award for the AIFL and thanked Neros for individually lifting sports in Anambra.
