Calls for prayers for the success of the 10th Senate and for peace and progress of the Nation
Senator Dr. Victor Umeh, OFR, representing Anambra Central Senatorial District was at the Catholic Secretariat of Nigeria, Durumi, Abuja, today for the Catholic Bishop Conference of Nigeria’s First Plenary of the year 2025 where he met with Bishops from Onitsha Ecclesiastical Province.
Senator Umeh congratulated the Bishops on the successful Plenary and commended them for the positive impact of the church in building the minds of the people towards a more positive and productive path.
He acquainted them with some of the activities of the 10th Senate geared towards achieving sustainable peace and development in Nigeria, thereby urged them to continue to pray for the Leadership of the Senate and Nigeria in general.
However, Peter Cardinal Ebele Okpaleke on behalf of the rest of the bishops, commended Senator Victor Umeh for his proactive representation of the Anambra Central Senatorial District, the South East geopolitical zone and for his meaningful contributions to nation building. They prayed for God’s continued blessings on the Senator as he continues to represent and defend the people and the Church in Nigeria.
