The Senator representing Anambra North Senatorial District, Sen. Dr. Tony Nwoye, has congratulated Mr. Peter Obi over his nomination for the Sun’s Political Icon of the Year Award.
While giving plaudits to Mr. Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party in the 2023 General Elections, Senator Nwoye affirmed that Nigeria remained proud of the former Governor whose political ethos, he said, had been characterized by a strong advocacy on accountability, transparency and prudence in governance.
He said Obi’s candidacy and emergence had been nothing short of revolutionary, steering the Labour Party to significant victories across the nation, as well as his unique adeptness at galvanizing support and advocating for change around the country.
Part of the congratulatory message by Senator Nwoye read:
