Prominent Anambra Personalities Extol Soludo's Achievement in Three Years

Prominent personalities in Anambra State have expressed satisfaction with the level of developmental achievements the State Governor, Prof Chukwuma Soludo, has recorded within three years in office.

They include the member representing Ihiala Federal Constituency in the Lower Chamber of the National Assembly, Dr Paschal Agbodike; the Chairman, Nigeria Union of Teachers, Anambra State Wing, Comrade Chika Grace Chukwudozie; an investor, Arch Ezenwa Chukwudi; and the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, Anambra State Coordinator, Mrs Blessing Ekene Iruma.

In separate interviews with newsmen, on Sunday, at St Patrick’s Catholic Cathedral, Awka, during a Thanksgiving Mass for Governor Soludo’s three years anniversary, the respondents commended the Governor for his achievements in various sectors.

Rt Hon Dr Agbodike said Governor Soludo’s scorecard in three years, was topnotch, noting that all the Governor had done in Anambra State was clear in every ramification.

‘Infrastructure-wise, and human capital development, Mr Governor has performed wonderfully well.

‘He is a Governor among other Governors in Nigeria; he always sets pace, which other Governors emulate,’ Agbodike said.

He appreciated Soludo and his team for making the dream of Anambra come true in terms of infrastructure and human capital development.

The federal lawmaker, who further expressed optimism that Soludo would have no contender in the November 8 Gubernatorial election in Anambra, advised Anambra citizens to give Soludo unanimous endorsement for his second term in office.

‘Ihiala People have agreed, Governor Soludo’s second term is done and dusted; we are with him 100%,’ Agbodike stressed.

For her part, the Anambra NUT Chairman, Comrade Chukwudozie, said Soludo had transformed the education landscape in the state.

‘In less than two years, Mr Governor employed 8,115 teachers. He touches lives of Anambra teachers by promptly paying their salaries.

‘His 1 Youth, 2 Skills Acquisition Programme is now a model many states are coping.

‘We associate with him and have resolved to sail or sink with him,’ Chukwudozie said, among others.

Also, Arch Chukwudi said Governor Soludo had a very exceptional style of leadership which he described as proactive, productive and result-oriented, arguing that the Governor had done much in infrastructure, security, and other aspects of governance.

‘Using roads as a yardstick, I can beat my chest and tell you that Mr Governor has performed exceedingly well.

‘None of his predecessors within four years did the number of roads he has done just in less than three years.

‘It is not just that, but also the roads are quality ones that can last more than 20 years,’ Chukwudi said.

Pointing out that Governor Soludo was determined beyond November 8 Gubernatorial Election in Anambra, Chukwudi maintained that Soludo wanted the best for Anambra State.

He was optimistic that the Governor would continue his developmental plan because he had an agenda with a deadline.

To the Anambra State NYSC Coordinator, Mrs Iruma, Soludo’s Administration, through the 1 Youth 2, Skills Acquisition Policy, had impacted on Nigeria’s Youths positively.

According to Iruma, a number of the corps members, irrespective of their states of origin, had befitted a lot from the policy.

‘We are happy to be associated with Soludo’s administration for his youth inclusiveness and innovativeness.

‘He recognizes the importance of engaging the youth and ensuring that they are gainfully employed,’ Iruma said.

‘The giant stride of his Administration in road construction, and security in the recent times is second to none. It is not hearsay, we all are seeing the development stride,’ the NYSC boss added, and enjoined the Governor to sustain the tempo of the development.
