Politicians Are Nigeria’s Problems, Says Bishop Ikeakor

The Anglican Bishop of Amichi Diocese, Rt. Rev’d Ephraim O. Ikeakor has identified politicians and the Political leaders as Nigerian’s problems.

Ikeakor, made this known over the weekend, during his press briefing on 2024 Synod that will start from 6th to 9th June, 2024 at Immanuel Anglican Church Ekwulumili, Nnewi South Local government Area of Anambra State.

The Theme of the programme is” Adultery: causes, consequences and cure.

He said “If we don’t get it right into the leadership of this country, we are going nowhere.

“The greatest problem we have in this country are the political leaders and politicians’ .They are Very selfish, conscienceless, wicked human being.

“The poor man is no more asking for his right again rather he is asking for survival.

“In Nigeria, nothing is working now, nothing .If you contradict me, tell me what is working in Nigeria.

“In other places, but the payment day of public servants is a day of Joy; for here in Nigeria the reverse is the case. The money you receive as monthly salary will not buy a bag of rice. That is the situation now.

“How do we fight corruption in the midst of poverty, He asked?

Earlier, he explained that ‘Synod is the highest governing council and legislative body in the diocese.

“We have built houses and handed it over to St. Andrew Anglican Church Ebenator.

“Our Nursing School will soon have their 4th Graduation Ceremony which means we have four sets of graduates in the school.

“Let me talk about this year’s UTME, You know that in our school we have zero tolerance on Malpractices, Any form of exam malpractices when it comes to us we have zero tolerance all round.

“We say it with Joy and gratitude to God that the result of our Masters Vessels and Holy Child Convent adjoin, Masters Vessel was one of the best.

“According to JAMB, 1.8m students wrote the examination and 1.4m student’s score below 200.

“In our schools, only 7 students scored below 200 the rest scored 240 and above, so it is a great news to us because no one will talk about any form of exam malpractices.

“Currently ,We are putting on what we called supper Guest house because we need it , it is a multi Million Naira project although under foundation Hopefully God being our helper, we’ll finish it before next year, when we will host the standing committee of Church of Nigerian next year.

The standing committee is the largest meeting the Anglican Committee holds every year Febuary and September.

“We are making progress, we are training a lot through scholarship, built a house for an amputated man (5 rooms bedroom bungalow)

“We have a meeting with clergy children on Easter monday and we gave #100, 000 naira per person etc.

Speaking on the theme of the synod; (Adultery: Cause, Consequences and Cure)he maintained.

So many people who are indulging in adultery do not understand that adultery has a terrible disastrous consequences on individuals, families and on the nation

“If you read the Bible, ,trusting or given glory to something more than God, cherishing and adoring a person or position, is an idol worship ,Going back to satanic alters, deities,Man-made, etc.

“Go into the bushes today, our young people are going in there putting one or two tree together in the name of adultery without knowing that adultery draws away Gods presence

“Some people don’t know since the situation of Nigeria becomes unbearable is after the satanic ideology of satanic Festival of Arts and Culture (FESTAC). Since then, Nigeria has not recovered.

“Adultery is darkness, Adultery is frustration, and adultery is stagnation so in this synod we have some preachers whom God is going to use to open our eyes on the theme.

“Not knowing God is number cause of Adultery, Another is Rebellion against God and there will be killing where adultery is.

“While the solution or cure is for you to be with God genuinely, holding the holy word of God above the tradition of men, Preachers and pastors must do their work.
