Police in Anambra State have arrested a man said to be a notorious cultist, Amalu Onyedika.
In a press release made available to newsmen, the spokesperson of the Anambra State Police Command, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, described the 32 years old indigene of Eziagu in Enugu State as a notorious cultist.
He was arrested at Nkwelle, Oyi LGA of Anambra State, while one locally made pistol and four live ammunition were found on him when he was searched.
Ikenga said: ‘Onyedika claimed to be a technician who deals with Aluminum and Glass windows at the Building Materials Market in Onitsha.
‘He confessed to being a member of the Junior Vikings secret cult. He joined the notorious gang at the age of 22 and has been mentioned as one of those terrorizing Nkwelle and its environs.
‘The Commissioner of Police, CP Nnaghe Obono Itam, has directed that the investigation be widened and deepened to bring to book other gang members, and the case be charged to court after the investigation.’
