Orumba South Stakeholders Take Stand on Soludo’s Re-Election Bid, Rate His Work

Stakeholders in Anambra State have taken a stand on the re-election bid of the Governor of the state, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, while also rating his work in the state.

The stakeholders who were particularly from Orumba South Local Government Area, said the Governor was doing well in the state and needed to be encouraged with re-election to complete his work.

The stakeholders made this resolution during a stakeholders’ meeting of political bigwigs in the area, while commending Soludo’s work in the state and promising massive votes for him in the forthcoming November 8 Governorship Election in the state.

The Chairman of the local government area, Hon. Shedrack Azubuike, who spoke to journalists on behalf of the stakeholders, said the re-election of Soludo was very important to the people of the local government, and that the people were seriously mobilizing to vote for him.

He said: ‘The good work of the Governor in the state and Orumba South in particular is speaking volumes, and Orumba South People will reward him with their collective votes, come the November 8 Gubernatorial Election.

‘What the Governor has done within three years is massive. In Orumba South, particularly, the Governor has done what other Governors could not do for many years.

‘We commend his holistic developmental approach to governance. We have witnessed a number of roads and other infrastructural projects in the local government within three years, and we will reward him with our votes.’

Other stakeholders of the local government area who spoke at the event reechoed the sentiment of the Chairman, pledging to work for the Governor’s re-election.

Some of the stakeholders who attended the event include: the Secretary General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, Mr. Emeka Sibeudu; the member representing Orumba South in the Anambra State House of Assembly, Engr. Emma Nwafor; and the Commissioner for Agriculture, Dr. Foster Ihejiofor.

Others are; the MD Urban Regeneration, Hon. Mike Okonkwo; the former Federal House of Representatives member for Orumba North and South Constituency, Hon. Ben Nwankwo; and a host of others.
