Following his avowed decision to keep the most populous and densely populated Local Government Area of Anambra State free from crime and criminality, the Mayor of Idemili North Local Government, Honourable Stanley Nkwoka (Ochendo Idemili) on Monday, 21st April 2025, at Uke Cultural & Civic Center (Amanduka) inaugurated Uke Security Committee.
Inaugurating the Committee in the presence of the traditional ruler of Uke, His Royal Highness (Surv.) Charles C Agbala (Igwe Oranyelu III of Uke); the President General of Uke ancient kingdom, Chief Peter Onyejegbu (Ezeani-Ezeaofojulu of Uke); the Council Boss assured Idemili North residents of his determination to reduce crime and crime related matters to the barest minimum.
Chief Nkwoka, popularly known and addressed as Ochendo Idemili, warned that anyone who tries to foment troubles in any of the communities that make up Idemili North or cause a security breach would be severely dealt with.
He charged the committee to be up and doing and as well, take the assignment given to them seriously, noting that he would not hesitate to wield the big stick if they are found wanting, adding that he would give the committee all the necessary support.
The People’s Mayor announced that his administration is open to constructive criticism, advice, dialogue, and suggestions. It would be recalled that the Mayor recently, at Eziowelle Civic Centre inaugurated a similar committee with a charge on them to join him in his onerous task of making the Council safe for all and sundry.
He reiterated his commitment geared towards providing adequate security to the people of Idemili North, even as he commended Governor Chukwuma Soludo for taking the bull by the horn.
In his bid to ensure a watertight security in Idemili North and its environs, the security conscious Mayor of Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State, Hon. Stanley Nkwoka (Ochendo Idemili) has inaugurated the Security Committee of Eziowelle Community with a charge on them to leverage the security architecture put in place by the Executive Governor of Anambra State, Professor Chukwuma Soludo (Oluatuegwu Ndigbo).
Inaugurating the carefully selected Security Personnel, the number one citizen of Idemili North LGA, reiterated his commitment towards achieving one united and safer Council Area, stating that he owed it as a duty to Ndi Idemili North to secure their life and property, adding that issue of security remains a collective responsibility.
He charged the committee to work for the greater good of the people and shun acts capable of ruining their future, and that of the community , emphasizing that the call to serve in the community was a call to service and not the other way round.
The People’s Mayor was received by some of the influential and known members of the community.
The Council Boss, while admonishing the committee, commended the Governor of Anambra State Professor Chukwuma Soludo for making the state a destination point rather than a departure lounge, asking God to continue to reward and bless him abundantly.
