The Special Adviser to Governor Willie Obiano on Public Orientation and Special Duties, Hon. Mrs Ify Obinabo, has embarked on an aggressive campaign on the dangers of Corona Virus, Lassa fever and other contagious diseases, as well as possible protective measures to prevent their outbreak and spread in Anambra State.
Obinabo took the campaign to one of the events of Nzuko Umuada Anambra Advancement Initiative, Southeast Chapter, held at Obosi, in Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State.
The Special Adviser before now had been visiting markets, churches, motor parks and other public places. Governor Willie Obiano’s aide who dwelt extensively on protective measures against the spread of the two deadly diseases, charged Umuada Anambra to form the habit of washing their hands regularly to avoid body contact with people and contact with rats and bats.
She harped on the need to avoid self-medication to enhance early dictation of the diseases. She listed General Hospital, Onitsha; General Hospital, Umueri and ministry of health, Jerome Udoji Secretariat, as designated places for the control of the two diseases.
