The youthful Dr. Obi Chinenye JohnPeter, a native of Uruegbe Village Umuoji, in Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State, has emerged as the Chairman of the National Association of Government General Medical and Dental Practitioners (NAGGMAP).
Dr. Obi was unanimously elected by his colleagues to pilot the affairs of the Association for a two-year single tenure.
Elected officers are as follows: Dr. Obi Chinenye Johnpeter – Chairman; Dr. Kenneth Nwokolo – Vice Chairman; Dr. Ifeanyi Adunuba – Secretary; Dr. Vincent Epuechi – Asst. Secretary; Dr. Ifeyinwa Onyeagba – Treasurer; Dr. Echendu George – Financial Secretary and Dr. Nnama Stanley – Public Relations Officer (PRO).
Speaking shortly after his emergence and swearing in, Dr. Obi commended Gov Chukwuma Soludo for providing the enabling environment for all and sundry, as well as his top-notch approaches geared towards upgrading and sanitising the health sector, adding that the Governor had done many practicable things that should earn him a second tenure in office.
The Umuoji born medical practitioner thanked the past executive members for keeping the association in one piece, stating that he would start where they stopped.
