The Governorship Candidate of African Democratic Congress, ADC, Mr John Nwosu, has chosen a former Chairman of Anambra State Chapter of the People’s Democratic Party, Chief Ndubisi Nwobu, as his running mate.

Nwosu announced this in Abuja, last Monday, after picking his Certificate of Return from the Independent National Electoral Commission.

Ndubisi Nwobu, a veteran politician, was also a one-time Chairman of Awka South Local Government Area, Anambra State.

Speaking to newsmen shortly after, John Nwosu, who christened his speech, ”A Mandate to Serve”, said it was with deep humility and profound gratitude that he received the Certificate of Return, alongside his running mate, Chief Ndubuisi Nwobu.

He described the day as a huge moment that was not just a celebration of victory, but a solemn call to duty.

‘It is also a historical moment and a huge reminder that ADC delegates have entrusted us with their hopes, their dreams, and their future. We do not take this trust for granted. We are conscious of the needs and unmet needs of Ndi Anambra.

‘As such, we are committed to building a government anchored on transparency, accountability, inclusivity and sustainable development.

‘We are obligated to listen to your voices, uphold your rights, and work tirelessly to deliver the dividends of democracy to every corner of our dear State,’ Nwosu assured.

Thanking the party members for their support, he extended a hand of fellowship to those on the opposing side, noting that now was the time to come together for the good of all, and especially for the good of Anambra People.

‘Today, the People of Anambra State have a credible alternative to the incumbent. May God guide us as we seek to serve,’ Nwosu said.
