. . . Showers Colleagues’ Newborn Babies With Cash, Material Gifts

The national president of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Chief  Chris Isiguzo last Sunday visited Anambra State for the first time since after his election in October last year.

Comrade Isiguzo during his visit, visited the home of Comrade Obini Onuchukwu (Fmr. chairman of Correspondents’ chapel of the NUJ and the Director of Protocols& Information Unit, Fed. Poly,Oko) where he felicitated with him for the gift of his son, Dominion.

The Nigeria number one journalist also visited Comrade Johnny Fansy (Secretary, National Light Chapel of NUJ) whose wife gave birth to triplets recently.

The NUJ boss shortly after visiting John Ndu’s family proceeded to Comrade Francis Ekpone (Vice Chairman, NUJ, Anambra State Council) house to see his newborn baby.

The national president also visited the family of O’star Eze (Chairman, Orient Daily Chapel) whose wife gave birth to a bouncing baby boy.

Chief Isiguzo concluded his visits with a visit to Comrade  Okechukwu Onuegbu (Auditor, NUJ, Anambra State Council) house whose wife also gave birth to a baby girl.

Speaking separately in all the homes visited, the NUJ President thanked God for the safe delivery of the children and expressed joy that the mothers and their children were in good condition.

He promised his colleagues that NUJ would not abandon them and their young families, even as he said that when he returned to Abuja, he would liaised with the national Secretariat for more financial and material supports.

The President was accompanied to the visit by the Zonal Secretary of the Union, Comrade Kenneth Ofoma, Anambra State NUJ Chairman, Comrade Emma Ifesinachi, KSJI and his Enugu State counterpart, Comrade Rex Arum, Secretary NUJ, Anambra State, Comrade Emma Udeagha, Treasurer, NUJ, Anambra State Council, Comrade Abuchi Onwumelu among others.
