The Leadership of National Union of Anambra State Students, NUASS, led by Rtr. Obiwuzie Chibuike Kas, in company of the National Speaker, Nigerian Student’s Parliament (NSP), Rt. Hon. Jabir Abubakar, recently paid a solidarity visit to the office of the Commissioner for Tertiary Education, Barr. Mrs Sally Mbanefo, the Chairman of National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Comrade Samuel Egwuatu, the Senior Special Assistant to Governor Willie Obiano on Special Services, Hon. Comrade Nwabufo Nwankwo, and the Executive Assistant to Governor on Economic planning and Budget, Hon. Comrade Tochukwu Obiadi.

Speaking on behalf of the Nigerian Student’s Parliament, the Speaker expressed profound gratitude towards the hospitality shown to him by the top government functionaries and fellow Comrades from Anambra State.

He appealed for mentorship, advice and words of encouragement from his hosts, which, he said, would be applied to make his tenure as the national speaker of NSP successful.

The Speaker while interacting with Hon Obiadi thanked him for granting them audience and for his words of encouragement and guidance.

Responding Hon. Obiadi thanked the NUASS Leadership and the National Speaker for the visit, stressing the importance of unity, especially among students and Youths, despite their ideological differences, religious backgrounds, ethnicity and geographical zone.

According to Obiadi there was need for the student leaders to consider humanitarian services while discharging their duty.

The leadership of the National Youth Council of Nigeria NYCN, Anambra State Chapter, led by the Chairman, Hon. Comr. Samuel Egwuatu, with the state executive members, received NUASS Director of Welfare, Comr. Ifeanyi Ifedigbo and the National Speaker, Nigerian Students’ Parliament (NSP) and also the Ass. Secretary General of Nigerian Youth Congress (NYC) at the State Youth House in Awka, Anambra State.

The State Chairman of NYCN welcomed the Speaker, Nigerian Student’s Parliament to Anambra State and NUASS Leaders respectively.

The solidarity visit, according to the Speaker, was geared towards rebuilding the dilapidated structures across the geographical zones in the country and to bring together the bond that bound them as humans.

He added that he extended his handshake of love and leadership to the Southeast Zone in order to give them a sense of belonging in his administration.

The NYCN State Chairman, Comrade Egwuatu, admonished them as upcoming leaders, to embrace unity and togetherness.
