Non-indigenes living in Alor Ward 1 on Monday, 7th April, 2025, after their meeting, endorsed Governor Chukwuma Soludo for a second term in office.

This development, according to them, highlighted the growing involvement of non-indigenes in local politics in Anambra State.

The endorsement of Governor Chukwuma Soludo came at a time when non Indigenous people started enjoying increased representation and inclusion in local governance and decision-making processes.

Their Coordinator, Mrs. Blessing Moses, said the marginalization and exclusion they faced in various aspects of life, including education, employment, and politics, had become things of the past since Governor Soludo’s emergence in 2022, while their Secretary, Miss Chinelo Ejiofor, emphasized that with Soludo, they had seen steps towards promoting national citizenship and reduced emphasis on indigeneship in Anambra State.
