Following his determination to stamp out shanties and illegal structures, as well as decongest the Council Area, the Local Government Chairman of Idemili North, Hon Stanley Nkwoka, Sunday, 2nd February, embarked on demolition of shanties and illegal structures at Nkpor Bridge.
Speaking during the demolition exercise, Nkwoka said the council would stop at nothing until the entire area was rid of shanties and illegal structures blocking the roads and drainages.
The Council Boss thanked the Governor of Anambra State, Professor Chukwuma Soludo, for leading from the front, stating that he was carrying out the Governor’s good work to the grassroots, as well as replicating same in Idemili North.
Chief Nkwoka commended the Governor for what he had done in Anambra State, especially in the areas of human capital development, youth empowerment, employment of teachers, health workers and infrastructural development.
Nkwoka said the demolition would be extended to all nooks and crannies of Idemili North, even as he warned all those who erected the illegal structures to remove them or be ready to have them demolished, adding that he would leave no stone unturned until the entire area was decongested and cleaned up.
