The Transition Committee Chairman of Idemili North, Hon. Stanley Nkwoka, on Saturday, 24th August 2024, identified with an illustrious and philanthropic son of Abatete, Chief Engineer Fred Uzor, popularly known as Agunechemba, as he celebrated this year’s New Yam Festival at his palatial home.
Welcoming the Council’s Boss in his abode, Agunechemba Abatete described him as a humble and focused politician whose time had come, stating further that the feelers he got when he hosted the entire youths and all the women’s groups from Abatete Community, were encouraging and heartwarming. He said that they all pledged to support him before, during and after the LG Elections billed to hold on the 28th of September 2024.
Engr. Uzor encouraged him to continue serving Idemili North, assuring him of his unflinching support, even as he called on others to rally round the workaholic Transition Committee Chairman.
Speaking during Agunechemba’s New Yam celebration, Chief Nkwoka who had in his entourage: including the Councillor representing Nkpor Ward I, Hon. Anikpe Samuel Arinzechukwu (Oyinatumba/ Wester), Hon. Chief Donald Aroh (Kpajie Abatete), APGA Idemili North Women’s Leader, Mrs Chika (Importer) thanked his host for his support and encouragement, pledging to continue to work for the good People of Idemili North Local Government Area.
In a related development, the Chief Servant of Idemili North on Sunday, 25th August 2024, accompanied Chief Engr. Uzor to his mother’s Thanksgiving Outing held at Grace of God Mission Int’l ( Former Cathedral), Oye-Eze-Igwe, Nsukwu Abatete.
Addressing his guests who attended the Thanksgiving Service, Agunechemba said they were in the Church to thank God for a successful eye operation of their mother whom, he said, at the age of 85 years, had a smooth eye operation without any further ailment discovered from her body. He said her body was certified okay by the doctor shortly after the surgery.
