A non-political group and an affiliate of the Association of Anambra State Integrated Indigenes, Solution Integrated Team, has perfected plans to embark on grassroots rallies across the 21 Local Government Areas, of the state, with a view to mobilizing eligible voters for the All Progressives Grand Alliance’s, APGA’s, victory in the September 28 Local Government Elections in the state.

The National President of the Association, Hon Ferguson Ogbonnaya Okpara, disclosed this while on a familiarization visit to the Transition Committee Chairman of Njikoka LGA of the state, Barr Dominic Ononiba, in Abagana, recently.

Hon Okpala said that the Association had begun gathering the bio-data of the members who were eligible voters for easy identification of who is who in the Association.

According to him, the Association was targeting about 2,000 eligible voters from its fold for APGA’s victory, not only in the September LGA Elections, but also in the 2025 Gubernatorial Election.

‘We are now ever read to ensure that our members are all card carrying voters who have voting rights at the polls.

‘Our bio-data form will bear the names of our duly recognized members, addresses, states of origin, home towns, places of residence, names of their landlords and occupations, for easy identification and others,’ Okpala told the Njikoka Council Boss.

Responding, the Njikoka Council Boss described the programmes and activities of the Association as a welcome development.

Barr Ononiba expressed the belief that the production of a comprehensive list of non-indigenes, resident in the state by the Association through its bio-data form would help in a greater measure in achieving the political and security goals of the State Governor, Prof Chukwuma Soludo.

He encouraged the leadership of the Association to extend its tentacles to political ward levels in the state.

The Njikoka Council Boss pledged to support the programmes and activities of the Association, assuring that he would also communicate the programmes to the traditional rulers and Presidents-General of the Njikoka Communities for collaboration, especially in the area of maintenance of security.

According to him, ‘Governor Soludo has devised another strategy to tackle the issue of insecurity in all parts of the state.

‘He will unveil the same soon after the local government elections in the state,’ Ononiba said.

He added that the Governor was adjusting the state’s security apparatus in order to give enough power to vigilante groups in the state for optimal performance at all times without fear.

The Njikoka Council Helmsman therefore, charged all residents in the state to always be security conscious by reporting any unusual happenings around them to appropriate authorities for urgent attention.

Present at the event were the Chairman of the Association in Njikoka LGA, Elder Clement Mgbechi; the Secretary General of the Association in the LGA, Ms Chinonyelum Okafor; among others.
