Ozo Jeff Nweke has emerged the candidate of Action Alliance for the November 8, 2025 Gubernatorial Election in Anambra State after he secured 58 votes in an open ballot election conducted by the party in Awka on Thursday, April 3.
The security expert was elected above two other aspirants who sought the ticket of the party. The aspirants included Mr. Michael and Mrs Amarachukwkwu Obioha who secured six and eight votes respectively.
The Chairman of the party’s Electoral Committee, Mr Vernimbe James, who presided over the election, declared him winner, acting on powers conferred on him as the Chairman of the Electoral Committee.
Reacting to his victory, Nweke said as the AA Governorship Candidate, he would prioritize security and job creation in Anambra State.
He attributed the high insecurity in the state to high youth unemployment and proposed massive employment initiatives to engage youths positively and reduce crime.
Nweke’s leadership and commitment to community development have earned him recognition.
He said: “We are poised for victory. We cannot leave Anambra State to some people who do not have her well-being at heart. We need those that will take the bull by the horn.”
