…Dismisses Rumour of Stepping Down
By Jude Atupulazi
Frontline Labour Party Aspirant for the 2025 Guber Election in Anambra State, Mr John Nwosu, has described rumours of his stepping down for a particular aspirant as scurrilous, insisting that he was focused on participating in, and winning the ticket of the party in next month’s primaries.
A press statement made available to Fides and signed by the Director General of John Chuma Nwosu Campaign Organization, Chief Ben Chuks Nwosu, 19 March, stated, ”The attention of the John Chuma Nwosu Campaign Organisation has be drawn to the scurrilous rumour making the rounds that John C. Nwosu, the leading Labour Aspirant for the 2025 Governorship has stepped down for Chief George Moghalu, another LP aspirant. This is a lie of enormous proportion.
”Today, 19 March 2025, John Nwosu returned his Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms to the Labour Party National Secretariat in Abuja. He is very much in the race.
”John Chuma Nwosu is set for the 5 April, 2025 party primaries. The Labour Party delegates will decide who will be the party candidate. Party nomination cannot be won through lies, subterfuge and mischievous fake news.
”We urge party faithful to disregard such distractive misinformation.”
Fides can report that only two aspirants are now primed to take part in the primary election of LP after one aspirant, Mr Val Ozigbo, moved over to the All Progressives Congress, APC.
