Ifeanyi Ubah’s Representation has Given Voice to Anambra South Ezeokafor

By Ifeoma Ezenyilimba

An Oraeri, Aguata LGA-born former President of Catholic Laity Council of Nigeria, Awka Diocese (CLCNAD), Comrade Emma Ezeokafor, has congratulated the senator representing Anambra South Senatorial District, Senator Dr Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah, for what he described as his robust representation in the senate.

Comrade Ezeokafor, who stated this through his congratulatory message to Senator Ubah on his One-Year Anniversary in the 9th Senate, noted that Ubah’s representation has given Anambra South a voice in the Senate.

He recalled that prior to the emergence of Senator Ifeanyi Ubah, Anambra South had for over 12 years suffered neglect and very poor representation.
He however said that for the first time in over a decade, the zone had a voice in the Nigerian Senate.

Ezeokafor, who was the YPP candidate for Aguata II Constituency in the last State Assembly Election, thanked God that despite what he described as incessant attacks and petty court instigations by detractors, Ubah, who according to him, was the prince of the 9th Senate, had been breaking new grounds.

He also thanked God that Ubah had again regained what, according to him, was the mandate given to him by God and the people through his recent victory in court, adding that the people of Anambra South were proud of him as their senator.

Comrade Ezeokafor commended Senator Ubah for the 300kva transformers he donated to some of the towns in Aguata Local Government Area, the COVID-19 palliatives he donated across the senatorial zone and for attracting in the budget, a specialist hospital for Peter University, Onneh (to be built in Ekwulobia), as well as for the bills he sponsored and the motions he moved on the floor of the senate for the good of the masses.

Ezeokafor urged the senator to do more to justify the mandate, which, he said, the people of Anambra South Senatorial Zone gave to him.

Among the bills which Ezeokafor said were sponsored by Senator Ubah included the National Institute for Security and Strategic Studies, Orumba, Anambra State Bill, 2019 and the Upgrade of the Federal Polytechnic Oko, Orumba-North, Anambra, to a Federal University of Technology Oko Bill, 2019.

It will be recalled that Senator Ubah was on June 11, 2019, sworn-in, alongside other senators of the 9th Senate.
