The Transition Committee Chairman of Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State, Hon. Chief (Sir) Stanley Nkwoka, has eulogized the Governor of Anambra State, Professor Chukwuma Soludo, on his 64th Birthday Celebration

In a congratulatory message signed by the Chairman and made available to newsmen in Awka, Chief Nkwoka described Governor Soludo as a pacesetter, as well as a go-getter, saying that Ndi Anambra were lucky and blessed to have him as the state’s helmsman.

The chief servant of the most populous and densely populated Local Government Area in Anambra, while eulogizing Soludo on his birthday celebration, expressed satisfaction with the way and manner the Governor was going about the governance of the state, acknowledging that the Governor had touched lives and all facets of the state’s economy, adding that he was a beneficiary of what he called Soludo’s purposeful and all-encompassing leadership.

Enumerating some of the achievements of Soludo, Nkwoka said the Governor offered free education up to JSS3, offered free antenatal services and free delivery services for pregnant women, built over 300 kms of road infrastructure and trained thousands of youths through his One Youth, Two Skills initiative.

Continuing, the chief worker of Idemili North noted that the Governor employed 10,000 teachers, employed 300 medical professionals, cleared gratuity and pension backlogs, increased the civil servants salary by 10%, and gave grants to five thousand youths of Anambra State to start up businesses.

‘Soludo gave the capital city (Awka) a facelift, both infrastructurally and aesthetically. Building of a new Anambra State Government House Complex and Government Lodge. He embarked on aggressive marketing of Anambra and made in Anambra stuffs. He freely distributed two million seedlings of palms and coconuts to Ndi Anambra. He expanded the waste management systems and processes in the state, just to mention but a few.

‘On behalf of the good and proactive People of Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State, I salute you most outstandingly. You’re a rare gem and a gift to Ndi Anambra,’ the Council boss concluded.
