The Mayor of Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State has rued the sudden death of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) Women’s Leader in Idemili North Council Area, the late Mrs Chika Okafor, otherwise known as ”Imported”, who died after a ghastly road accident which occurred along Abatete- Ogidi road last Sunday, 23rd March.
In an emotion laden condolence message signed by the Chairman of the most populous and densely populated local government area in Anambra State at his office domiciled inside the Council’s Headquarters, Ogidi, he described the late Mrs Okafor as a supportive sister, dutiful wife, a caring mother and a great promoter of the party, APGA, emphasizing that she would be sorely missed by her immediate family, relatives, friends, party men and women, as well as her associates, both in and outside Idemili North.
The visibly saddened council boss who visited the scene of the accident alongside some members of his team, stated that he received the news of her demise as a rude shock, noting that she left when she was needed the most, adding that she was full of life and in her usual uncompromising self the last time she accompanied him to two separate funerals.
The Mayor prayed to God for the quick repose of her soul and also to grant her family the grace to bear what he described as an irreparable loss, even as he sorrowfully beckoned on God to save His people from untimely and premature deaths and bless all with good health and long life.
The late (Mrs) Chika Okafor hailed from Ogbu Quarter, Abatete, and married to Odida Quarter, also in Abatete.
