The PDP Candidate for Anambra Central Senatorial Seat in the February 16, 2019 Senatorial Election, Senator UcheEkwunife, has said that she is the most qualified candidate to represent the people of the zone in the Upper National Assembly.
Senator Ekwunife, who spoke at the Catholic Youth Organisation of Nigeria (CYON), Awka Diocese Skill / Talent Hunt Competitions held at St Patrick’s Cathedral Podium, Awka, Anambra State on February 3, 2019, said she was the most qualified in terms of experience, capacity, capability, vision and mission.
Recalling how she won the seat for the Senatorial Zone in a free, fair and credible election held in 2015, but her mandate was stolen, Ekwunife said she was back in the senatorial race to continue with her mission which upheld the better interests of Anambra Central Senatorial Zone, Anambra State and the Igbos in general.
Ekwunife, who during her short stay in the Senate, served as the Senate Committee Chairman on Petroleum Down Stream, said she was the first Igbo and the first woman to assume such position. According to her, she was given the position because the senate president saw in her a senator that could turn around the oil and gas sector for good.
Pointing out that she performed creditably well for the six months she served as a senator following the 2015 Election, Ekwunife regretted that Anambra Central and the State lost an opportunity she would have used to secure employments for a good number of the youths due to the fact that her mandate was stolen.
Baring her minds on quality representation she has been committed to, the former two-term member that represented Anaocha/ Njikoka/ Dunukofia Federal Constituency said, ‘Check my performance you will see the number of youths I secured employments for and the number of people I have assisted, and you will see that Senator Uche Ekwunife is the best’.
She enjoined the youths and the entire electorate to massively vote in PDP come the February 16, 2019 Elections, saying that votes to PDP would make Mr. Peter Obi the next Nigerian Vice President, give employments to the youths and improve the wellbeing of the Igbos and all the entire Nigerians.
Ekwunife, who assured of her continuous quality representation, called on the youths and the entire people of Anambra Central to pray for her and support her unconditionally, for a better Anambra State.
She equally supported the CYON Talent Hunt Competition with her donation.
