The Commissioner for Housing, Anambra State, Hon Paully Onyeka, says the soon to be completed Judges’ Quarters in Onitsha will open the gate to having more judges of Anambra extraction in the state. The Commissioner stated this shortly after inspecting the progress of work at the Judges’ Quarters, Onitsha, an Anambra State Government Project.
Work, it will be recalled, started on the site barely a month ago and has gotten to roofing level.
While the parapet is ongoing on one out of the five buildings, one has been roofed, while the remaining three buildings are about to be roofed.
Speaking after the inspection, Hon. Onyeka commended the pace of work, remarking that the speed was in line with the timeline given by the state government.
The Commissioner said the contractors had two weeks to round off the buildings to allow the state to have the freedom of attracting more judges of Anambra State extraction.
In their separate speeches, Engineer Chidi Daniels of Times Company Limited; Ben Daniels of Global Impex Company; Architect Obinna Umeh of Tivoge Properties Limited and Patrick Iwuno of Artisan Developers Limited; representatives of the construction companies, pledged to work with the directive of the Commissioner in order to meet up with ‘the Solution mandate’, expressing happiness that they were engaged to serve the state in that capacity.
