The former Transition Chairman of Orumba North Local Government Council, Hon Emeka Aforka, has described the Holy Ghost Congregation Province of Nigeria (South East)-owned Holy Ghost Academy, Amaokpala (HGAA), Orumba North L.G.A, as one of the best schools in Anambra State and beyond.

Hon. Aforka, who is the APGA Candidate for Orumba North Constituency Seat in the March 9, 2019 House of Assembly Election, stated this at the 14th Founders’ / Feast Day Celebration of the school, extolled the Spiritan Congregation and the Catholic Church for their committed efforts towards qualitative education of the children.

The former two-time TC chairman, recalled that during his tenure as the Orumba North LG boss, HGAA had represented the local government and Anambra State in many competitions, and excelled in all. He expressed his delight that the school has continued to sustain its giant strides in academic and moral excellence.

Speaking on the occasion, the Provincial Superior, Congregation of the Holy Ghost Province of Nigeria (South East), Very Rev. Fr. Gregory Olikenyi, C.S.Sp, who was represented by the Vicar Provincial, Rev Fr. John Anyaegbuna, thanked God for his guidance and protection on HGAA, which according to him, has been growing tremendously.

The provincial superior appreciated the Catholic Diocese of Awka led by the bishop, Most Rev Paulinus Ezeokafor, for her supports and concern to the school, saying that since 14 years ago they established the school, the diocese had taken HGAA as one of her children.

He commended the PTA, the government and all for their goodwill and support, urging them not to relent, but consistently support HGAA for the completion of its on-going chapel project as well as for sustainable development.

Some of the 105 students that received the Sacrament of Confirmation with their sponsor, Rev Fr John Anyaegbuna, C.S.Sp, Bishop Paulinus Ezeokafor and Rev Fr. Jude Ekemgba, C.S.Sp (behind).
