The Traditional Ruler of Atani, Igwe Augustine Azuka Ngoddy has called on various Communities across Anambra State, to use the forthcoming yuletide to engage in programmes that will ensure rapid transformation of their various areas.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with our correspondent in his palace, Igwe Ngoddy cautioned the people against life of flamboyance and too much eating and drinking during the yuletide.

He maintained that the period should be used for stocktaking in addition to embarking on those programmes that will improve the living standards of the people.

The Monarch who spoke extensively on the importance of peace and unity to socio- economic development of any society called on the people to embrace such in order to ensure sustainable development.

Igwe Ngoddy commended Governor Willie Obiano for his people oriented programmes and policies which have brought even development across various communities in the State especially the Twenty Million Naira Community Choose-your project initiative which he noted will go a long way in transforming the hinterlands.

The traditional ruler of Atani who stated that the on-going light up Anambra Project, by the Governor, will apart from improving the aesthetics of the State, equally boost business transactions in addition to restoring night life.

Igwe Ngoddy called on Ndi Anambra to continue with their support to Governor Willie Obiano to enable him consolidate on his achievements.
