Heineken Brand of Nigerian Breweries has launched Heineken 45cl Returnable Glass Bottle, RGB, to continue to offer premium quality at a price every consumer can afford.

The event which took place on Friday, 6th September, 2024, at Bon Hotels, Awka, Anambra State, had in attendance the who’s who in the company’s East Zone, its numerous distributors, sub-distributors, and retailers across its Onitsha Region.

In her opening remarks, the East Zonal Business Manager of Heineken, Mrs Chinwe Udeh, told the distributors and the retailers that the Heineken 45cl RGB, designed to fit seamlessly into the lifestyle of today’s Heineken consumers, was a life wire of their businesses, noting that it was known for excellence and quality.

According to her, out of 12 regions that Heineken had in Nigeria, Onitsha was the only region launching the product for now.

‘It’s because of how special Onitsha Region is, especially for the brand new Heineken that’s known for excellence and quality.

‘You already have Heineken 60cl and 33cl doing very well; they’re actually number one in a lot of outlets. Today, a new baby is born; and that’ll be a live wire of your business as a whole when it comes to beer,’ Mr Udeh told the distributors and the retailers.

Speaking to newsmen shortly after the event, a Senior Brand Manager of Heineken, Mr Kolawole Akintimehin, said the Heineken 45cl was a unique addition which was craftily created to strike a balance between when a Heineken consumer wanted a lot of drink and when he wanted less drink.

He explained that the quality of the 45cl was the same with those of 60cl and 33cl, arguing that the company did not compromise on the premium quality it was known for in any standard.

Also, a Brand Manager of the company, Mr Azuka Ijenebe, added that the responses from the distributors and retailers on the new product had been overwhelmingly positive.

He said, ‘They’re very excited and recognize the potential of the 45cl bottle to attract new consumers and boost sales.’

Newsmen also approached some of the distributors and retailers to get their impression about the Heineken 45cl RGB.

One of them, Sir Chinedu Oforma, described the Heineken brand as the best in the world.

‘That 45cl is a game-changer. I believe it will go a long way to increase sales because our customers have been waiting for it,’ Sir Oforma said.

To Lady Dr Obianuju Vivian Dike, a sub-distributor, the Heineken brand was the first choice to everybody that wanted to take something.

‘The 45cl is a good innovation. Most times, customers ask for it,’ Lady Dike said and expressed optimism that the potential customers would really enjoy having the product.

A question and answer session between the partners and the officials of Heineken on the best ways for more business progress, presentation of gift items to the partners by the company, among others, were parts of the highlights of the historic event which would soon be rolled over across other regions of Heineken in Nigeria.
