Group Upbeat for Soludo’s 2nd Term

… Recounts Soludo’s  Achievement in less than 2 Years

By Michael Nnebife

A leader of an interest group known as Soludo’s Ambassadors, Mr Ossy Onuko, has said that Governor Chukwuma Soludo has no contender for the Anambra State Gubernatorial Poll come 2025.

Mr Onuko, who stated this during the group’s Anambra North rally at Oyi Local Government Secretariat, Nteje, on Saturday 16th March, said Governor Soludo had done exceptionally well for the zone and the entire Anambra State to deserve a second term.

According to Onuko, ‘Soludo is working; this is the first time in the Political History of Nigeria, a first time governor is deliberately delivering democracy dividends without thinking of next election.

‘The day Soludo was sworn in, he showed Ndi Anambra that he came to serve them. He has regenerated and revived Okpoko,’ Onuko said.

Onuko, who is also the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Awka Capital Territory Development Authority, further stated, before Soludo came on board, Awka was a dead capital which, he said, was a reproach to Anambra, but that Soludo had given Awka a facelift befitting a capital city.

‘He has massively reconstructed all the roads and currently building a recreation centre in Awka which will be the biggest in West Africa.

‘Soludo is ending the era of schools without teachers; he employed 5,000 teachers and more 3,000 teachers will be included soon, making it 8,000 teachers.

‘He has empowered 5,000 youths with skills and two billion Naira startup money plus soft loans.

‘He is reviving our hospitals; pregnant women in Anambra are now receiving antenatal services and delivery free and charge. What can you compare with these? Onuko said.

‘So, we’re saying Soludo has no contender for his second term because a reward for good labour is continuity of more work,’ he said.

Also speaking, the Special Adviser to Governor Soludo on Political Matters, Chief Alex Obiogbolu, who expressed delight to be among the Soludo Ambassadors, which he described as one of the greatest and strongest 35 Soludo support groups, thanked the group for supporting the governor and spreading the gospel of his good work to every nook and cranny of the state.

In his remarks, the Speaker, Anambra State House of Assembly and Chairman of the occasion, Rt Hon Somtochukwu Udeze, said the rally was to appreciate Governor Soludo for his good work in Anambra North in particular and the state at large.

The speaker expressed delight for being a part of the Soludo Government, saying that the governor was currently having at least  one project in each of the 30 state constituencies in Anambra, a situation, he said, had never happened since the creation of the state.

He thanked the people of Anambra North, assuring them of quality representation in the state assembly.

In his address of welcome, the Anambra North Coordinator, Soludo Ambassadors, Hon Ejiofor Egwuatu, said Soludo Ambassadors group was a union of believers in Solution Agenda, stressing that their motto was to solder and impact the Solution Agenda on the hearts of Ndi Anambra.

In interviews with newsmen, some stakeholders of the zone who include the Commissioner for Petroleum and Minerals Resources, Hon Barr Tony Ifeanya; the Commissioner for Transport, Hon Patricia Igwebuike; the Oyi Local Government Transition Committee Chairman, Hon Emmanuel Nweke, among others, extolled the infrastructural development of the Soludo Government in the area.

They said the rally was to sensitize people about solution-driven government and to light a Pentecost candle for the actualization of Soludo’s second term aspiration.
