Arrangements have been concluded by the National Association of Surface Tank Oil and Gas Retailers of Nigeria, NASTOGRN, to embark on a statewide sensitization programme in Anambra State on promoting and protecting retailers’ rights in the oil and gas business in the country, in collaboration with the National Orientation Agency, NOA.

The National President of the Association, Dr Marcus Okotete, disclosed this recently, when he paid a solidarity visit to the Director, NOA, Anambra State Directorate, Mr Edozie Ajaegbu, at Ebele Ofunneamaka Okeke Federal Secretariat Complex, Awka.

According to Dr Okotete, who doubles as the Chairman of the Board of Trustee of the Association, the Directors of Department of State Services; Fire Service; Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission; Anambra State Commissioner of Police, Mr Nnaghe Itam; including the state’s top government officials; would grace the occasion, which, he said, would take place on 12th October, 2024.

Okotete said that the Association was committed to promoting and protecting the interest of the retailers in the oil and gas industry in Nigeria, but regretted that bigwigs in the industry were making things hard for lower ones to flourish in the business.

The NASTOGRN boss explained that it was the duty of the Association to sensitize people for better understanding of the gains derivable in the oil and gas business in the country, especially in the area of marketing the product.

Stating that many Nigerians had quit the business because of the hassles involved in acquiring oil and gas product, the NASTOGRN President told the Anambra NOA Director that NASTOGRN was ready to assist anybody who wanted to invest in the business in the country to obtain licence at a very low cost.

Responding, the NOA Director said NOA was now better informed in all that concerned oil and gas business in the country, especially its bountiful benefits.

He assured the NASTOGRN President that NOA in Anambra, would partner his Association in the task of educating Ndi-Anambra on everything they needed to know about the numerous benefits derivable in the oil and gas business in the country so that they could invest in it, for their livelihood.
