Governor Obiano Commissions Internal Road to Proposed Peter University

The Executive Governor of Anambra State, Chief Willie Obiano, has commissioned road leading to the proposed Peter University, Achina/Onneh last Tuesday.
In a well attended event at the commissioning of the road, Obiano, while addressing the audience restated the commitment of his government to the construction of roads and provision of necessary amenities that would bring about the wellbeing of citizens in Anambra State and other residents.

The governor who noted that his knighthood had no second across Nigeria also read the inscriptions on the marble after the commissioning exercise.
”Ogboji-Onneh-Achina and Peter University Internal Road commissioned by His Excellency, Chief (Dr.) Willie Obiano this 17th day of March to the Glory of God”, Obiano read from the marble.

Cutting the tape jointly by Governor Obiano and the Auxiliary Bishop, Catholic Diocese of Awka, Bishop Jonas Benson Okoye, the cleric who noted that it was his first time of commissioning such government project lauded the governor for what he described as unrelenting effort towards the wellbeing of Ndi Anambra, one of which is manifest in the just completed and commissioned road.

He added that the year marked the sixth year of Governor Obiano as the governor of Anambra State.
In a vote of thanks, the member representing Orumba South Constituency in the Anambra State House of Assembly, Engineer Emma Nwafor, thanked Bishop Okoye and noted that it was a landmark history on the road. He added that the condition of the road had changed from what it was last year.
He thanked the governor for heeding his cry and that of the bishop concerning the road, more so, for his intervention which had brought about the construction and commissioning of the road.

He beseeched God to make the road be a blessing to the people of Achina, Ogboji and Onneh, urging all road users to be more careful while adding that the road would bring about peace and development in Anambra State.
He urged them to allow the unity which the governor had employed in in peace and unity in the area.
the construction of the road to be found amongst them and said that his expectations were that the communities that have direct benefit from the road would maintain peaceful coexistence even as they expect resident to live in peace and unity in the area.
He prayed further that God would keep the governor in peace, and that progress would remain in his family and in Anambra State and pleaded with the people to desist from all forms of evil as the governor brought good thing via the road.

He added that they should support the governor in getting a replacement for himself when he would hand over at the end of his tenure for the progress of Anambra State. He also pleaded with members of the All Progressive Grand Alliance to be in tandem with the decisions of the governor as the period of politicking drew close.
