The Federal Road Safety Corps Anambra State Sector Command, Monday, handed over goods recovered from a Road Traffic Crash (RTC) which occurred around Umuokpu Timber Market, along Awka-Onitsha Expressway on Thursday, 2 May, 2024, where one male adult was reportedly killed.
In a press statement he signed on behalf of the Sector Commander, Arc Charles Iyiegbuniwe, Staff Officer Public Education of the Command, said the victims of the fatal crash and one Mr. Odoh, who represented the driver of the Toyota Sienna, were present at the Command to identify and collect their belongings.
Mr Odoh who spoke on behalf of the victims thanked the Federal Road Safety Corps for their high level of professionalism exhibited during the rescue operation. While also confirming that their goods were complete and intact, he prayed the FRSC not to relent in their efforts towards the protection of life and property by keeping the highways safe for all road users.
The Sector Commander, Federal Road Safety Corps, RS5.3 Anambra State Sector Command, CC Adeoye A. Irelewuyi, thanked them for the accolades and advised the victims and all road users to be responsible road users and refrain from overloading, driving above stipulated speed limits and other bad road usage that could cause road traffic crash.
