The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for Njikoka I State Constituency, Ambassador Chukwuemeka Nwachukwu, has resigned his membership of the party.

This was contained in a letter delivered to the Ward Chairman, People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Ward 4, Enugwu-Ukwu, Njikoka Local Government Area, Anambra State.

The letter read in part, ‘Dear Sir, Letter of Resignation from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

‘I write to formally tender my resignation from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) with

immediate effect.

‘This decision, though difficult, comes after deep reflections and wide consultations with my family, political associates, and well-meaning constituents. It is borne out of a conviction that the ideals and trajectory of the party, especially at the national level, no longer align with my vision, values, and aspirations for our people.

‘As a loyal party man, I have served the PDP with commitment and sincerity. From mobilizing at the grassroots to representing the party as its candidate for Njikoka I State Constituency, I have remained

steadfast in the pursuit of our shared goal of delivering good governance and quality representation to our people. However, recent developments have made it clear that the space to achieve these ideals within the PDP has become increasingly narrow.

‘I wish to sincerely thank the party leadership at the ward, local government, and state levels for the opportunity to serve. I also appreciate the support and goodwill of my teeming supporters and constituents who stood by me under the umbrella. Please accept the assurances of my highest regards,’ the letter read.
