. . . Makes Case for Agriculture

The Managing Director, Tonimas Group of Companies and the traditional prime minister of Neni, in Anaocha Local Government Area of Anambra State, Chief Sir Anthony Obiagboso Enukeme, on Saturday, 10 August, 2019, celebrated this year’s New Yam festival.
The event which took place at Umudioka Cultural Centre, Neni, had people from all walks of life in attendance.
The function witnessed assorted type of masquerade displays, display of farm produce, cultural dances, and presentation of cash and material gifts to the winners of the best farmers contest.
Addressing the participants, Chief Enukeme popularly known as Tonimas and Onowu Neni, appreciated God for this year’s harvest, calling on all to embrace agriculture which he described as the surest way to poverty alleviation.
Onowu Neni thanked all those who graced the event, expressing the hope that next year’s harvest would be bountiful and more rewarding.
