The Anglican bishop of Aguata Diocese, Rt. Rev’D Dr. Samuel Chukwudi Ezeofor, has assured the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) candidate for the March 2nd Orumba North State Constituency election, Hon. Arch. Emeka Aforka of his continued support and prayers.
The Ambassador for World Peace who stated this at Bishop’s Court, Ekwuluobia, in Aguata Council Area of the State when the APGA’s standard bearer called on him enjoined Orumba North constituents to rally round Aforka whom he described as a grassroots-oriented politician.
Bishop Ezeofor applauded the two-time Orumba North Local Government Chairman for his humane and humble disposition, noting that he (Aforka) had proved himself over the years both as a council boss and as an appointee of the State government, even as he described Aforka’s Assembly ambition as a shared responsibility.
‘Emeka Aforka is our own. He is well-known to us. Emeka Aforka is a household name not just in Orumba North but in Anambra State and beyond. He is humble and respectful. He has distinguished himself. We will not abandon him at this material time. He has my support and prayers. I will continue to pray for him,’ Bishop Ezeofor assured
Speaking on the essence of his visit, Hon. Aforka who was accompanied to the visit by members of his Campaign Organization led by APGA’s state Assistant Secretary, Hon. Joe Onwuchekwe said he came to inform the bishop about his onerous decision to represent the people of Orumba North State Constituency in the Anambra State House of Assembly and subsequently solicit for his support and prayers.
Hon. Aforka popularly called Nwachinemeze by his numerous admirers and supporter assured the bishop that his decision to vie for House of Assembly seat was not for personal gain or interest but to serve the people of Orumba North, noting that if elected he would offer robust, effective and people-oriented representation.
Speaking on his vision, Hon. Aforka said he had acquired enormous wealth of experience in politics and governance through a very long dedication to duty, self discipline, hardwork and perseverance, saying that the vast majority of the people of Orumba North Constituency believed so much in him, adding that his kind disposition and quality charisma had endeared him to the people’s hearts.
According to the Ndiowu born political juggernaut cum astute grassroots mobilizer, the people of Orumba North had shown him love and they naturally wanted to support his political aspirations, noting that the motivation, support and goodwill he secured from the majority of the people of Orumba North had inspired him to seek for further opportunity to render more service to his people.
‘My vision is to give Orumba North State Constituency the quality and efficient representation that will restore the dignity of the people of Orumba North Constituency in other to take their pride in Nigeria and Anambra in particular. I hereby humbly pledge to sustain the quality charisma in the discharge of legislative duties if elected,’ Aforka pledged.
