In demonstration of her mission statement of touching lives, a Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) known as Excellent Ladies of Valour and Steel (ELOVAS) Foundation International, recently made charity visits to some rehabilitation homes, where they donated various gift items to the inmates, in celebration of the 2019 World Food Day.

The ELOVAS Foundation of Awka Zone 1, Anambra State, had on November 10, made a charity visit the Oji Leprosy Home in Oji River LGA, Enugu State, while her counterpart of Enugu Zone 1, on October 26, visited the Mother Louisa Charity Home (Home of Refuge, Rehabilitation/ Therapeutic), Udi, Enugu State.

Speaking when she led the ELOVAS Foundation Awka Zone 1 on the Charity Visit at Oji Leprosy Centre, the President, ELOVAS Foundation International, QueenLady Ngozi Ekwunife, said the Foundation was at the centre to celebrate the World Food Day with the inmates and share the love of God with them.

Among the gifts donated to the Oji Leprosy Centre by the ELOVAS Zone 1 were 15 tubers of yam, one and half bag of rice, 7 cartons of Indomie noodles, small bag of beans, a bag of garri, cartons of macaroni, cartons of spaghetti, small bag of crayfish, packets of seasoning cubes, vegetable oil, loaves of bread, 3 rolls of tissue paper, carton of soap, packets of detergent and 4 Ghana Must Go Bags of clothes.

The ELOVAS Foundation Enugu Zone 1 at the City of Refuge, Rehabilitation / Therapeutic Home, Udi, donated various gift items such as tubers of yam, bags of rice, beans, vegetable oil, Indomie noodles, and packets of salt, among others.

Speaking to the press after she led her Enugu Zone1 members on the visit, the Coordinator, Lady Ifeoma Ijetta, called for help for the children of the Mother Louisa Home, who she said were in pitiable conditions.

According to Lady Ijetta, who is also the 1st Vice Presient of ELOVAS Foundation International, a lot of children were abandoned in the home with various forms of deformity and disability. The ELOVAS Coordinator, called on the Government and public spirited individuals of Enugu State and Nigeria, to come to the aid of the children, who she said were in dire need of help.
